I expected a great day when to my surprise the Peacocks staff were decked out in cowboy hats and vests t breakfast. Seems they have theme nights... Monday was grill night... hey it felt like a bit of the West right here in Dar-es-Salaam.
We arrived for the mid-term presentation. Potential consulting catastrophe was avoided and turned into a blessing when our the power for the projector would not work so 15 of us left 30+ and humidity for the comfort of Dr. Mcharazo's air conditioned office. We spend 2 hours on our mid-term report. I was very proud of the whole team... some of our hosts are amazed (given our new insight into libraries world-wide) that we are not actually librarians. Here Christie is walking our hosts through a list of proposed initiatives we will tune up over the next 2 weeks. Xiao, Augusto, Francis, Christie and I all spoke.. the reaction form our hosts was very positive... as was independent follow-up from DOT.

Having all three teams finished a major milestone we went to an outdoor restaurant by the beach that Theophilus Mlaki recommended. Phil suggested a great game where one by one a person said two things in their native language; what they expected before arriving and what they now feel about Tanzania ... the person beside them had to listen to the foreign language and interpret for the group. Very good game for a world wide team with 8 native tongues. Funny interpretations allowed! Well and Shaun speaks Aussie so make it 9!!
